Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST) and Visceral Manipulation (VM)  is surprisingly gentle, yet has deep and profound effects. In a certain respect, less is more. It is more accurate to say that it is the correct interaction with the involved bodily systems that makes this work so powerful.

These integrated therapies offer perspectives that can help sufferers of low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, headaches and other pain patterns that plague many people.  They can help improve structural and functional imbalances throughout the nervous, musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic systems (to name a few). Trauma often imprints the body-mind in very distinct ways. These imprints – the embodied defense mechanisms must be addressed for a more thorough resolution. An important part of the treatment philosophy is that we are working with the person rather than doing something to them. This changes the interaction considerably.

CST and VM can support people in recovering from:

Concussions, whiplash, birth trauma, falls, dental work, especially root canals, implants and palate and sinus surgery.

Some other common adaptive patterns that are often unidentified or poorly correlated include…

  • Middle-aged women who’ve had cesarean sections 20 years ago may develop low back pain that other typical treatments tend to fall short on. These tension patterns may affect the lumbar and or the sacroiliac region, hips and even knees.
  • Scar tissue from surgeries such as hernias, appendectomies, hysterectomies, and laparoscopies to name a few, are often involved in perpetuating aberrant tension patterns.
  • Long-standing coughs and bronchitis often leave a lingering sensitivity in the lungs and bronchi that often spillover to ribs, thoracic spine, and neck.
  • Concussions and whiplash victims frequently have vascular drainage issues, along with their neural injury.

The treatments are typically performed with the client clothed in comfortable attire. Depending on what’s being treated, the client may need to move or be moved around, so the clothes should not inhibit free movement.

During the month of June, I, Joseph, am offering a 75-minute initial evaluation and treatment and a 75-minute follow up visit for $180. That’s a $45 Savings ($225 Value).
