Our Approach

Pain Management Programs are highly personalized rehabilitative treatment plans based on client goals, assessment, & progress.

Our programs are designed to support individuals who are:
  • Recovering from an injury or managing chronic pain
  • Suffering from headaches or persistent, neck pain, or TMJ dysfunction
  • Undergoing surgery and/or physical therapy
  • Determined to improve their posture and quality of life
  • These programs are guaranteed to improve the overall recovery process, a significant reduction in pain, and improved quality of life.

 

Programs

4 Series (4-8 Week Programs) for less severe and less chronic symptoms
6 Series (6-8 Week Program) for medium/moderate or persistent symptoms
8 Series (8-10 Week Program) for more severe and chronic conditions

Our programs work best before and in conjunction with physical therapy or other strength training regimens.
 

Consultations

We offer a FREE 30-45 minute consultation if you are curious about whether our services may be useful for you. During a consultation we will:
~ Discuss your symptoms
~ Go over our style and approach
~ Answer any question you might have
~ Allow you to receive a sample of what the treatments feel like and an idea of what you can expect
~ Schedule your sessions if you decide to move forward and send you home with your intake forms

Two years ago, I was referred to Shalene after a ski accident that left me with a strained gluteal muscle. Shalene applied her knowledge and experience to target the issue, and the pain subsided, and I was skiing again soon after. I continued with regular treatments to address other issues. By keeping detailed notes and following up thoughtfully, she ensures we continue making progress each time. She listens carefully and is always attentive to my concerns. She combines her deep understanding of massage as medicine with an intuitive sense of what my body needs. I’ve had 2 sessions so far with Shalene and have been extremely pleased both times. As a senior, recovering from a car accident last year, I have needed of sensitive, accurate fascial work to release the constrictions that have complicated the effect of scoliosis. She has extensive experience, excellent intuition, and an ability to adjust her touch/pressure to the level of damage of each area of the body. I know of only 1 other fascial therapist in town who works at this level of skill. We are fortunate to have her services. Highly recommended!

@ Embodiwork “one-size-fits-all” routines are never performed. Our treatments are highly personalized. During a 45-75-minute session, we will dial into key areas of tension or discomfort. We recommend 90-minute sessions and up for full-body therapies.
